Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an exceptional bar experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast; handle cash handling responsibilities efficiently.
• Develop and refine beverage recipes, showcasing creativity in mixology and beverage presentation.
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless service during busy periods such as banquets or catering events.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies, checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption for safety.
• Assist in training new team members on beverage preparation techniques and POS procedures.
• Contribute to a lively atmosphere by promoting specials and engaging with guests to enhance their experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of Toast POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Proven experience in fine dining settings, cocktail crafting, wine knowledge, and beverage recipe development.
• Strong understanding of mixology techniques, spirits, brewing processes, and craft beer trends.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests promptly and professionally.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality.
• Food handling certification and food safety knowledge to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality industry experience, including banquet or catering settings preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
