Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional beverage service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your expertise in mixology, beverage presentation, and customer engagement will contribute to a lively atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued. This is a heavily tipped position, with tips making up a significant portion of overall earnings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend beverages that enhance their experience.
• Maintain knowledge of current beverage trends, recipes, and presentation techniques to offer innovative drink options.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with health regulations.
• Opening, closing, and mid shifts available
• Administer pull tabs and manage boxes. Additional tips are often received through pull tabs.

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods; excellent time management skills are essential.
• Knowledge of spirits, craft beer, wine varieties, and food safety standards within the hospitality industry.
• Previous food service or restaurant experience.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and cash handling.
• Familiarity with food industry standards related to serving alcohol responsibly and ensuring guest safety.

Pay: $11.41 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
