Bartender

Coal Kitchen is an independent waterside restaurant in the heart of Gloucester Quays. We’re looking for a friendly, confident bar team member who can make great drinks, look after guests and help keep the bar running smoothly.

Cocktail experience is essential for this role. You’ll need to be comfortable preparing classic cocktails accurately and consistently, as well as following our house recipes during busy services.

What you’ll do

• Prepare cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks to a consistently high standard.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar.
• Welcome guests, offer helpful recommendations and provide warm, attentive service.
• Work efficiently with the floor and kitchen teams to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow licensing requirements, age-verification procedures and responsible service practices.
• Help with deliveries, stock rotation and end-of-shift checks.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have previous bar experience and be confident making cocktails, including measuring, shaking, stirring and presenting drinks properly. You’ll be comfortable working at pace without losing attention to detail, and you’ll enjoy talking to guests and being part of a team.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 30.0 per week
