Bartender

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and service-oriented Bartender to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing an excellent guest experience. The Bartender will have a particular focus on preparing cocktails and mixed drinks featuring our Japanese alcoholic beverages, including Kochi/East Wind Japanese Shochu and rice wine. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable about beverage preparation, comfortable working in a fast-paced bar environment, and able to interact professionally with guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
• Specialize in preparing cocktails and mixed drinks featuring Kochi/East Wind Japanese Shochu, rice wine, and other spirits.
• Develop and recommend cocktails that complement the bar's Japanese-inspired beverage selection.
• Maintain knowledge of the characteristics, flavors, and proper serving methods of different spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages.
• Take beverage orders and provide friendly, attentive service to guests.
• Recommend beverages based on guests' preferences and explain ingredients and flavor profiles when requested.
• Ensure consistency in the preparation, presentation, and portioning of beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, glassware, and work area.
• Monitor beverage supplies and coordinate with the appropriate personnel regarding stock requirements.
• Process guest orders and payments accurately when required.

About you

• Preferably college graduate in a hospitality-related course.
• Previous experience as a Bartender or Bar Staff is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cocktail preparation and mixing techniques.
• Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages and spirits.
• Knowledge or experience with Japanese spirits, particularly Shochu and rice wine, is an advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
• Responsible, trustworthy, and attentive to detail.
