Bartender

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Engage with guests warmly, providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with precision and integrity.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including specialty drinks, wine pairings, and food service options for catering or banquet events.
• Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and safety standards in all aspects of serving alcohol and food.
• Assist in setting up event spaces for banquets or private functions, coordinating with kitchen staff for seamless service delivery.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while ensuring quality service.
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while promoting specials and featured beverages.

Experience

• Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or catering environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in fast-paced settings requiring excellent time management skills.
• Experience in food safety procedures, food handling, and retail math calculations related to sales and cash handling.
• Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage trends can be an added advantage for engaging guests creatively.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence; previous banquet or retail food industry experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events to meet business needs.
