Bartender

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, service-oriented and responsible Bartender to join our restaurant team. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring consistent quality, efficient service and a welcoming experience for our guests.

The role works closely with the Service and Kitchen teams to support smooth restaurant operations and deliver an enjoyable overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, mocktails and other beverages according to established standards.
• Follow standard recipes and beverage specifications to ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and respond appropriately to their beverage requests.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the beverage menu and provide recommendations based on guests' preferences.
• Have basic knowledge of wine and beverage pairing with Chinese cuisine and make appropriate recommendations when required.
• Prepare the bar before service, including mise en place, garnishes, ice, glassware and beverage ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the bar area, equipment and utensils at all times.
• Monitor beverage stock levels and assist with receiving, storing and replenishing beverages and supplies.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies, wastage or stock shortages to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Work efficiently during peak periods to ensure beverages are prepared and served within the expected service time.
• Coordinate closely with Service staff to ensure beverage orders are accurately prepared and delivered promptly.
• Handle guest feedback or requests professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
• Assist in maintaining beverage cost control through proper portioning, stock management and minimising wastage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Restaurant Management.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bartender, Bar Staff or Restaurant Service Crew is preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and other beverages.
• Experience in a Chinese restaurant, hotel, fine dining or full-service restaurant will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of beverage and food pairing is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and beverage service.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Well-groomed, responsible and attentive to details.
• Good team player with the ability to work closely with Service and Kitchen teams.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
