Bartender

Invictus II Cigars is looking for customer service-focused individuals to join our team. Our team includes bartenders and hosts. Individuals with existing knowledge, or an interest in learning about cigars, the cigar industry, and cigar/drink pairings are encouraged to apply. Bartenders with unexpired TIPs, TAMs, or Serve Safe Alcohol Certification will be given priority consideration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• TIPS or TAMs or Serve Safe Alcohol Certification is a REQUIREMENT and those who are hired without one of these certifications will be expected to obtain it within the first 2 weeks (14 days) of employment.
• Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills.
• Willingness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• A positive and friendly demeanor that will make customers feel welcomed.
• A willingness to take on all tasks, even if it falls outside of a scheduled assignment.
• Polished presentation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons within the standards of Invictus II Cigars.
• Perform opening and closing duties including set-up and breakdown of the bar area.
• Interact with guests in a positive and professional manner.
• Assess guest needs and preferences and provide recommendations to upsell.
• Ability to multitask to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.
• Enforce Federal, State and City laws and ordinances in the handling and provision of alcoholic beverages.
• Handle payment transactions via POS system and maintain accurate cash drawers.
• Adhere to and abide by cash handling procedures as per Invictus II standards.
• Serve wine, beer and liquor in accurate portions and appropriate glasses.
• Charge correct prices for every item in each transaction.
• Monitor beverage and drink making inventory, make note of any shortages and owners, or designee, with updates at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of Invictus II Cigars.
• Attend trainings, tastings, and meetings.
• Perform all other reasonably assigned duties.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.50 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 24.0 per week
