Bartender

Established local neighborhood bar and grill, with 28 years in business, looking to add to our bar team. This position offers 2-3 shifts per week, mainly nights and weekends (both day and night shift). Experience in bartending, pool leagues, and dart leagues is strongly preferred.

· Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.

· Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their overall experience.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

· Manage cash handling and POS transactions by accurately processing orders and payments.

· Monitor guest consumption responsibly, recognizing signs of intoxication and taking appropriate actions to ensure safety.

· Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.

· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure all food orders meet quality standards.

· Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service.

· Promote sales by recommending specialty drinks or promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.

Skills

• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and alcohol serving regulations.
• Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and retail math calculations related to sales transactions.
• Exceptional communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members across various service areas.
• Experience in a small neighborhood bar and grill is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of the establishment.

Pay: $7.25 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
