At Las Vegas Brewing Company, our story goes beyond brewing exceptional beer. It is rooted in a multi-generational history in Las Vegas dating back to the early 1900s, when our founders' ancestors came to the city in search of new opportunities.

We opened our first location and began brewing in 2022. Since then, Las Vegas Brewing Company has built a reputation for quality craft beer paired with a chef-driven scratch kitchen.

Our food program puts a culinary spin on the classic brewpub experience, including creative smashburgers with unique chef-inspired twists, alongside other thoughtfully prepared dishes. Behind the bar, our beverage program extends well beyond beer, featuring craft cocktails and a large, curated selection of sparkling wines.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team.

Bartenders at LVBC are expected to be well-rounded beverage professionals. While craft beer is an important part of who we are, candidates should also have strong cocktail knowledge, an understanding of spirits and classic cocktail technique, and the ability to confidently speak about our sparkling wine program.

You will play an important role in creating a memorable guest experience by providing knowledgeable recommendations, preparing quality beverages, supporting food service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable guest service.
• Serve and confidently discuss a diverse selection of craft beers, cocktails, spirits, and sparkling wines.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of beer styles, flavor profiles, and appropriate recommendations.
• Prepare classic and house cocktails accurately and consistently using proper techniques, recipes, garnishes, and presentation.
• Develop familiarity with our sparkling wine selection and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Learn our chef-driven menu, including our culinary-style smashburgers, and confidently guide guests through food and beverage pairings.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, glassware, coolers, wells, and service areas.
• Restock and maintain appropriate levels of beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
• Follow all health, sanitation, food safety, and alcohol-service regulations.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the kitchen and other front-of-house team members to ensure timely service.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and other side-work responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, brewery, or similar establishment preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and classic cocktail preparation.
• Strong knowledge of craft beer and common beer styles.
• Wine knowledge is preferred; an interest in learning about sparkling wine is essential.
• Comfortable discussing food and making food-and-beverage recommendations.
• Excellent guest-service and communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency.
• Nevada Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card required.
