Bartender

The Iron Horse Bar & Grill is looking for a talented, experienced Bartender to join our team. Based in Leawood, Kansas, we’re a popular, lively establishment known for excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a wide selection of beverages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to established recipes and guidelines.
• Welcome customers, take orders, and provide friendly, professional service.
• Recommend beverages based on customers’ preferences and our menu.
• Keep the bar clean and organized, and restock supplies as needed.
• Follow health and safety regulations, serve alcohol responsibly, and monitor customers for signs of intoxication.
• Process cash transactions accurately, including payments, receipts, and change.
• Work with team members to keep bar operations running smoothly and support a positive workplace.
• Keep up with drink trends, new products, and industry developments to improve the customer experience.
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and complaints courteously, involving management when needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and uphold The Iron Horse Bar & Grill’s standards.

Requirements

• Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced establishment.
• Knowledge of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including their ingredients and preparation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling cash.
• At least 21 years old.
• Availability to work scheduled evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
