About Amendment

Amendment is a new dining experience coming to downtown Sturgis, centered around live fire, craft, discovery, and hospitality.

Our beverage program is intended to be every bit as thoughtful as our kitchen: a mix of well-executed classics, creative house cocktails, carefully selected spirits, and an ambitious wine program.

We are looking for Bartenders who see bartending as both a craft and an act of hospitality.

The Role

Amendment bartenders will be responsible for creating exceptional drinks while also delivering a complete guest experience at the bar.

This is not simply a high-volume drink-production position. We want bartenders who care about technique, ingredients, presentation, consistency, conversation, and the small details that make someone want to return.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare classic and house cocktails accurately and consistently
• Provide knowledgeable, welcoming service to bar guests
• Develop strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and the food menu
• Guide guests through the beverage program and make thoughtful recommendations
• Execute recipes, specifications, garnishes, and presentation standards consistently
• Complete opening, closing, prep, and restocking responsibilities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar
• Properly handle glassware, tools, ingredients, and equipment
• Work closely with servers and support staff during service
• Follow responsible alcohol service and ID verification procedures
• Participate in tastings, education, cocktail development, and ongoing training
• Help protect the consistency and quality of Amendment's beverage program

Who We’re Looking For

Previous craft cocktail, upscale restaurant, or high-volume bartending experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation: Hourly wage + tips
Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required
Location: Downtown Sturgis, Michigan
