Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team at Truckee Prime, Truckee's only Steakhouse. In this role, you will craft and serve a variety of beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your expertise in mixology, beverage presentation, and hospitality will ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing orders, payments, and cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Develop new beverage recipes and enhance existing offerings to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate with management about stock requirements.
• Handle cash handling procedures efficiently, including processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service flow during busy periods such as nightclubs or banquet events.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and managing guest intoxication levels responsibly.

Experience

• Previous bartending experience in fine dining, nightlife venues, or hospitality settings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, and spirits.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and payment processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills.
• Food service experience including food handling, serving, catering events or banquet service is advantageous.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices within the food industry.
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales totals, tips, and cash handling procedures.
• Nightclub or catering experience is a plus for working during high-volume or special event settings.

Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
