Bartender

Job Summary

Knickerbocker Tavern is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, efficient, and genuinely enjoys creating memorable guest experiences.

Our beverage program includes craft cocktails, an extensive beer selection, and a strong focus on bourbon, whiskey, and other premium spirits. We are looking for someone who can provide knowledgeable, attentive service while working confidently in a busy, team-oriented tavern environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits accurately and consistently
• Welcome guests, take orders, and provide thoughtful recommendations
• Develop a working knowledge of our food and beverage menus
• Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service
• Accurately handle cash and credit-card transactions using our POS system
• Verify identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
• Monitor supplies and communicate restocking needs to management
• Work closely with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers to provide a seamless guest experience

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or high-volume bar is strongly preferred
• Strong hospitality and customer-service skills
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
• Ability to remain organized, composed, and attentive in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling payments and operating a POS system
• Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol-service practices
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Experience with craft cocktails, premium whiskey, or an extensive beer program is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
