Bartender

Troy Social is seeking an experienced Bartender who understands that exceptional hospitality extends beyond making great drinks. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, personable, efficient, and comfortable working in a high-energy restaurant environment while providing guests with a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to restaurant standards.
• Provide friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable service to bar and restaurant guests.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the beverage menu and make appropriate recommendations.
• Accurately enter orders and process transactions through the POS system.
• Monitor guest needs and maintain an attentive presence throughout service.
• Follow standardized recipes and proper preparation techniques.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all beverages.
• Verify identification and follow all applicable responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and communicate concerns to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers, syrups, and other bar ingredients.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice, and supplies.
• Complete opening and closing bar procedures.
• Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and management.
• Assist with inventory and waste control.
• Help create an inviting and polished atmosphere at the bar.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and professional.
• Comfortable working independently while being an active member of the team.
• Must be available for nights and weekends.
• Must meet all applicable legal requirements for alcohol service.
