Bartender

Job Title: Full-Service Bartender (Seasonal)

Compensation: Part-time positions available, minimum wage guarantee of $19.10/hour

Description: We are seeking an energetic, positive person with a passion for hospitality to join our team! If you’re excited about community and have an eagerness to learn more about craft beer and cocktails, this is the place! Lost Grove is Idaho’s first B Corp brewery and we have worked hard to create a positive workplace with a strong team, a fun environment, and of course great beer.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of Lost Grove culture, ideals, food and beverage menus, and most importantly, beers!
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Proficient and knowledgeable in all classic cocktails
• Pour and serve beer, wine, cocktails and cider
• Ring in drink and food orders on the POS system
• Deliver food and drinks to tables
• Maintain a clean, inviting restaurant and patio space
• Work as a team with other employees and management
• Check the identification of all customers and verify the legal drinking age
• Process payments for beer and merchandise
• Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers being over-served by utilizing knowledge obtained from your TIPs training and recognizing signs of potential intoxication. Follow LGB’s environmental & social practices and help us work hard to reach our goals in those areas

Requirements

• 4-5 days a week availability (preferred)
• Craft cocktail experience
• Proficient in both bar and table service
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Must be at least 19 years of age (Idaho alcohol serving laws)
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to think quickly, multitask, and problem solve

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 65LBs
• Need to have the ability to bartend and serve for at least 4 hours at a time
• Mobility required to serve drinks and foods to tables
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (4-6 hours)
• Work comfortably in tight, fast-paced spaces
• Maintain a visual and auditory awareness in a busy bar setting
• Handle difficult and intoxicated guests respectfully and confidently
