Job Summary

The Carversville Inn is seeking an experienced, polished, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. More than simply making cocktails, our bartenders curate the guest experience—crafting exceptional beverages, building meaningful relationships, and creating an atmosphere that feels as refined as the food we serve.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an elevated dining environment, has a genuine passion for classic cocktails, wine, and spirits, and understands that exceptional hospitality begins long before the first drink is poured.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver warm, attentive, and genuine hospitality to every guest seated at the bar and throughout the dining room.
• Prepare classic and seasonal cocktails with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation.
• Maintain an extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and our seasonal beverage program to confidently guide guest selections.
• Recommend food and beverage pairings that enhance the overall dining experience.
• Ensure the bar remains impeccably clean, organized, and stocked throughout service.
• Work collaboratively with servers, managers, and the culinary team to maintain seamless service and pacing.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns with professionalism and grace.
• Accurately process orders, payments, and maintain cash-handling standards.
• Uphold all Pennsylvania liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal cocktails and continuously expand product knowledge through tastings and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, spirits, and beer.
• Fine dining service experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
• Calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• RAMP Certification (or ability to obtain).

Pay: $6.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 19.0 per week
