Bartender

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
• Manage multiple drink orders efficiently while maintaining high quality and accuracy through effective time management.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with integrity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
• Develop new beverage recipes and enhance existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering events or banquet service to ensure seamless food and beverage delivery in various settings.
• Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by recognizing signs of intoxication and managing guest safety proactively.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail creation, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and spirits.
• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or catering environments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Ability to develop beverage recipes creatively while adhering to safety standards and alcohol regulations.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings that emphasizes teamwork and hospitality excellence.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures related to food handling in bar environments.
• Experience working in nightlife venues or banquet settings is a plus; hospitality industry experience highly valued.

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
