Bartender

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender. In this role, you will craft and serve a wide variety of beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and create a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Flexibility and more importantly dependabilty are a must. The candidate will be working as an assistant to the Bar Manager and will be required to learn the system of reconciling funds and bar receipts at the end of a shift. Our current operating hours are from noon to 8 but there will be times when a later quitting time is necessary.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to ensure an outstanding customer experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to enhance guest satisfaction
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor alcohol consumption for responsible service
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate food and beverage service during events or busy hours
• Uphold all health, safety, and food handling regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Experience

• Proven bartending experience
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS required; familiarity with cashiering and cash handling essential
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management
• Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating professionalism and hospitality industry knowledge
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events in fast-paced settings
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
