Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, attentive manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all tools, glassware, and supplies are sanitized and stocked.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash handling with precision.
• Monitor guest behavior to ensure safety and compliance with alcohol service regulations; identify signs of intoxication and take appropriate action.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.
• Develop new beverage recipes or improve existing ones to enhance the menu offerings; stay current on industry trends such as craft beer, mixology techniques, and wine knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or hospitality environments; food service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; ability to process transactions efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Demonstrated expertise in mixology, spirits, wine knowledge, beverage recipe development, and brewing techniques.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures; certification preferred.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and cash handling.
• Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus; nightclub experience is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality operations.
