Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
• Maintain and execute our bar program
• Upsell menu items, including specialty cocktails, wines, spirits, and food enhancements to maximize guest satisfaction and sales.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
• Assist with food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
• Support guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Clear tables promptly (bussing), assist with setup and breakdown of service stations, and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Utilize reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and improve overall service experience.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in restaurants, bars, or nightlife venues is highly preferred; fine dining is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS for order entry and sales processing.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Experience in food safety practices and sanitation standards required for safe food handling.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
