Bartender

Cafe Americano is seeking a friendly, skilled, and customer-focused Bartender to prepare and serve beverages while providing excellent guest service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of beverage preparation, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized bar while working efficiently in a fast-paced café and restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Make cocktails, mocktails, coffee-based drinks, and other specialty beverages as required.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Take beverage orders and process payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Check stock levels and replenish beverages, garnishes, and supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
• Follow applicable food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Verify customer age and follow responsible alcohol-service regulations where applicable.
• Handle glassware, bar tools, and equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate cash-handling and transaction records.
• Coordinate with servers and other team members to ensure timely service.
• Recommend beverages and answer customer questions about the menu.
• Prepare garnishes and bar ingredients before service.
• Report equipment issues and supply shortages to management.
• Help create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
• Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous bartending or beverage-service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, and general beverage preparation.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safe beverage handling.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional, and approachable personality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good multitasking and time-management abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Relevant bartending training or certification preferred where required.

Pay: $23.41 - $28.19 per hour
