Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic team at The Mews Tavern! In this role, you will be the face of our bar, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional service, expertly crafted drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure every guest feels valued and leaves satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mixology skills, deepen your beverage knowledge and thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment dedicated to outstanding hospitality.

We have a variety of shifts available in our pub and are looking for a hardworking team player who enjoys connecting with our local community. Bartending experience is preferred but not required. We’re happy to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to standard recipes and guest preferences
• Greet guests, take orders, make recommendations and make sure everyone is happy with their drinks
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and manage tabs
• Keep the bar clean, organized, sanitized and fully stocked
• Serve food items as needed, following food safety and handling rules
• Help with inventory by tracking supplies and reporting low stock
• Follow all local alcohol service laws and keep up with new drinks and trends

Qualifications

• Bartending or food service experience preferred
• Comfortable handling cash and making change
• Food safety or alcohol service certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude under pressure
• Ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends as needed
• Must be able to commute to Wakefield, RI
