About Amador

Amador is a private members’ club in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, housed in the landmark Bank of Italy building at 550 Montgomery Street. Formerly known as Wingtip, the club is named for Amadeo Pietro Giannini, the bank’s founder and a driving force in rebuilding the city after the 1906 earthquake.

• The Bank at Amador: Our ground-floor property is open from breakfast through late evening. The Bank serves light breakfasts with coffee service, lunches, and an evening menu of light bites and raw bar alongside craft cocktails and live entertainment.
• Amador Club: A 15,000-square-foot duplex penthouse on the 10th and 11th floors, with themed parlor rooms, a cigar lounge, a 600-bottle wine cave, and a terrace overlooking downtown.
• Private Events: Both properties host private events, from intimate dinners in the Wine Cave to full-floor penthouse receptions, board meetings, and milestone celebrations — with buyouts accommodating up to 150 guests at The Bank and up to 350 across the Club.

Position Overview

The Amador Club is a private social club in San Francisco focused on excellent service and a warm, approachable environment. We’re looking for a Bartender who is dependable, guest-focused, and confident behind the bar. This role requires strong technical skills, a calm presence during service, and a team-first attitude.

We’re a tight-knit, low-ego team that values professionalism, consistency, and great hospitality. If you’re looking for a serious bar program with no ego and high standards, this might be your place.

This role may include shifts at the Club Bar, Bank Bar, and Private Events

Key Responsibilities

• Make classic and house cocktails with speed, accuracy, and consistency
• Provide thoughtful, warm service to members and guests
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar before, during, and after service
• Communicate supply and inventory needs clearly to the Bar Manager
• Receive and store deliveries; rotate product using label/date systems
• Prepare sidebar ingredients and syrups to spec (label, date, rotate)
• Support setup and execution of private events and club programming
• Follow all health and safety policies, including daily and weekly cleaning checklists

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume or hospitality-focused setting.
• Beverage Knowledge: Solid knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wine.
• Certifications: Must have valid California Food Handler and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certifications.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking throughout bar and restaurant spaces for the full shift; ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Available to work weekdays, dinner service, with evening and holiday shifts as needed. Some weekends may be required for private events.

What You Can Expect

Hourly Wage: $20.00 per hour.

Bartenders participate in our tip pool, which includes tips and a portion of service charges on food and beverage. Tips and service charge distribution are pooled and shared based on hours worked in a tipped position and in accordance with company policy.

Reports To: Bar Manager

Work Location: In person; weekdays with dinner service, and some weekends based on the Private Events schedule
