Bartender

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cashing out and balancing registers at shift end.
• Develop new beverage recipes and enhance existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste through effective stock rotation.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to promote safety.

Experience

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume hospitality settings.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience processing cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
• Prior food service experience including serving, food handling, and food safety standards adherence.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between drink preparation and guest interactions.
• Experience working in hospitality industry environments such as restaurants or banquet settings; catering experience is a plus.
