$15.00 - $25.00 per hour plus Service Fee Pool sharing

Salt Creek is currently seeking bartenders to help on an as needed basis for special events, club events, and private event rentals. Salt Creek Club is also in the final stages of completing a liquor license application and will be rolling out full bar service 7 days a week, beginning in very early 2027.

Salt Creek Club is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This position supports both member dining and club events, as well as private functions and tournaments throughout the year. We are looking for individuals who enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional hospitality in a fun, member-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering outstanding member and guest service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring responsible alcohol service in accordance with Illinois laws and Club policies. This position plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for members and guests while contributing to the overall success of club events and operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Provide exceptional hospitality and engage members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Offer beverage recommendations and answer questions regarding menu items and specialty cocktails.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and process transactions efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, workstations, and service equipment.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Verify age identification and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and Club policies.
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of tournaments, themed weekends, banquets, and private events.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to deliver a seamless and enjoyable experience for members and guests.
• Maintain a positive and professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Illinois BASSET Certification.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality environments such as private clubs, restaurants, banquet facilities, or fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of food safety and proper sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure during busy service periods.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
