Bartender – Persian Cocktail Bar & Modern Café

Taftoon NYC is a vibrant Persian-inspired cocktail bar and modern café serving street-style food, creative cocktails, and lively energy in an intimate Kips Bay setting.

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and well-presented bartender who can create great drinks while delivering an engaging guest experience. Our ideal candidate brings personality and confidence to the bar, enjoys connecting with guests, and understands the importance of consistency, preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork.

We want a proactive go-getter who takes ownership of the bar, stays productive without constant direction, and helps create the lively atmosphere that makes guests want to stay and return.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage bar guests with warmth, confidence, and positive energy
• Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages accurately and consistently
• Learn and execute Taftoon’s signature cocktail recipes and presentation standards
• Guide guests through the food and beverage menus and make thoughtful recommendations
• Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the POS system
• Properly prepare juices, syrups, garnishes, and other bar ingredients
• Complete bar setup and ensure the station is fully stocked before service
• Monitor inventory and communicate product and prep needs to management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar throughout the shift
• Pre-bus the bar, remove dirty dishes, and clean and sanitize the bar after guests leave
• Check identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements
• Monitor guest consumption and respond appropriately when responsible service is required
• Prepare guest checks and process payments accurately
• Complete all opening, closing, restocking, cleaning, and assigned side work
• Support servers, runners, and other team members during service

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
• Experience working with signature or craft cocktails preferred
• Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable building relationships with guests
• Professional, polished, and well-presented
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drink consistency
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and accountable
• Able to multitask and remain composed during busy service
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Self-motivated and able to identify what needs to be done
• Comfortable working in a lively, fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move bar supplies
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
