Bartender

High 5 Entertainment in Lakeway is looking for a personable, dependable bartender who delivers excellent drinks and memorable guest experiences. Our venue brings together bowling, laser tag, arcade games, dining, and private events in a lively, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate works efficiently, takes pride in a clean and organized bar, and makes every guest feel welcome. You should be comfortable balancing bar guests, service tickets, and event orders while maintaining accuracy and friendly service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit.
• Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Learn our food and beverage menus, daily specials, and entertainment offerings to make helpful recommendations.
• Take food and drink orders, enter them accurately in the POS system, and process payments correctly.
• Check identification and follow responsible alcohol service procedures and company policies.
• Monitor guest consumption and communicate concerns promptly to management.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar, including glassware, tools, garnishes, and service areas.
• Follow standard pours, portion controls, and procedures for recording spills and waste.
• Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties consistently.
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and event teams to keep service running smoothly.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when needed.
• Follow sanitation, food handling, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred, especially in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or entertainment venue.
• Working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to hospitality.
• Ability to prioritize multiple orders while maintaining accuracy and composure.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a team-first attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Current TABC and food handler certifications, or willingness to obtain them before starting.
• POS experience preferred; familiarity with Toast is a plus.
• Ability to perform essential bar duties, including standing for extended periods, carrying supplies, and restocking, with or without reasonable accommodation.
