Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to provide exceptional customer service and enhance their overall experience.
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Develop and refine beverage recipes, including signature cocktails, to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
• Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on food service coordination when applicable, supporting catering events or special functions.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication to ensure guest safety.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and craft beer trends.
• Proven experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments; nightclub or bar management experience is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while maintaining high-quality service.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders seamlessly.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures within food industry settings.
• Experience with beverage recipe development and creating innovative drink menus that appeal to diverse tastes.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Basic catering experience is advantageous for supporting special events or private functions.
