Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience and promote beverage sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast or SpotOn POS, including handling credit cards and other payment methods.
• Develop and refine beverage recipes to introduce new drinks or improve existing offerings, staying current with industry trends.
• Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate supply needs to management proactively.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service flow during busy hours and special events like banquets or nightclubs.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to ensure safety.
• Assist with bar management duties when required, including scheduling or training new team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or catering environments with a strong foundation in mixology and beverage presentation.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS or SpotOn POS for processing transactions efficiently.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, cocktail recipes, and beverage recipe development.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods effectively without compromising quality.
• Food handling certification and adherence to food safety standards required by local health regulations.
• Experience working in hospitality industry settings such as restaurants or food service environments preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and food industry operations accurately.
• Nightclub or banquet experience is a plus for managing large groups or special events efficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety practices combined with hospitality expertise ensures safe service delivery at all times.
