Bartender

We are looking for a skilled, friendly, and customer-oriented Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in beverage preparation, attentive to customer needs, and capable of maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming bar area. The candidate should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment while ensuring excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Beverage Preparation and Service

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Mix, garnish, and present beverages consistently and professionally.
• Recommend beverages based on customer preferences and menu offerings.
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all drinks served.
• Maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, ingredients, and available promotions.

2. Customer Service

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Take beverage orders accurately and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend drinks and provide information about ingredients when needed.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally.
• Promote a positive and enjoyable customer experience.

3. Bar Operations and Inventory Management

• Monitor beverage supplies, ingredients, garnishes, and other bar materials.
• Assist in inventory counting, stock replenishment, and reporting of low-stock items.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of beverages and ingredients.
• Coordinate with the supervisor regarding inventory discrepancies and supply requests.
• Minimize waste and follow proper portioning procedures.

4. Cash Handling and Sales Transactions

• Process customer orders and payments accurately when assigned.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and issue receipts.
• Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of cash and other payment methods.
• Report any transaction discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.

5. Cleanliness and Sanitation

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, counters, equipment, and workstations.
• Clean and sanitize bar tools, glassware, and beverage preparation equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace hygiene standards.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and compliance with company procedures.
• Observe responsible beverage service practices and applicable company policies.

6. Team Collaboration and Operational Support

• Coordinate with servers, kitchen personnel, and other team members to ensure timely service.
• Assist in preparing the bar area before opening and completing closing procedures.
• Follow company policies, service standards, and operational guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a bartender or in a related food and beverage service role is an advantage.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation, drink mixing, and bar operations is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory monitoring is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
• Organized, attentive to detail, and committed to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Must be responsible, reliable, and able to work well with a team.
