OUR MISSION: To Innovate and Elevate the Spirit of Hospitality. Kapow is opening in Fort Lauderdale, and we're building the team that opens it. Since 2011, Kapow has been part locals bar, part exceptional restaurant: modern Asian food with real edge, a serious sushi and beverage program, and a room where everybody belongs. When people ask about our demographic, we say "YES." Boca Raton and Delray Beach proved it works. Fort Lauderdale is the third stage, and it's a full Kapow Noodle Bar from day one. We're looking for Bartenders who know the bar isn't a station. It's the heartbeat of the room.

Full-time and part-time positions available.

WHAT THE ROLE REQUIRES

• 2+ years behind the bar in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Craft cocktail experience, with speed and consistency on the busiest nights
• Real knowledge of spirits, wine and sake, or a serious drive to learn Japanese spirits, sake and whisky fast
• The ability to recommend with confidence: the right cocktail, the right sake, the right pairing
• Composure three deep at the bar, with the service well buried and a smile still on
• Clear, kind communication with servers, barbacks and the kitchen
• Florida food handler training, or the ability to complete it within 60 days of hire
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Executing the Kapow cocktail program to spec, every drink, every shift
• Turning first-timers into regulars: names remembered, orders remembered, second round offered
• Keeping service-well tickets moving so the dining room never waits on the bar
• Knowing our weekly programming and specials cold, so every guest gets the most out of their night
• Bar setup, stock and station standards before, during and after service
• Ringing every drink, every time, and handling cash and POS accurately
• Responsible alcohol service, every guest, every shift

WHO YOU ARE

You've worked a bar where the regulars knew your name and the new guests learned it by the end of the night. You can build a perfect cocktail with a ticket rail full and still read who wants conversation and who wants space. You love talking about what's in the glass. You're not afraid of a busy bar. You want one.

• $11.98/hour plus gratuity. Most shifts average $35-$45/hr (total)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Long periods of standing and walking. Lifting up to 50 lbs (cases, kegs, ice). A fast, hot, high-energy bar environment.
