Pay $19 - 24/hourly.

Pantai Inn La Jolla is an intimate, boutique hotel with electric Polynesian charm, and features spacious suites. Just 20 minutes from San Diego’s world-class attractions, Pantai Inn Is the ultimate Southern California getaway for a good atmosphere to work at.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages to guests with the highest level of standards.
• Greet and welcomes guests and responds to requests in a prompt and professional manner. Refers to any serious matters to management.
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations.
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, and posting transaction to room. Communicate with front desk for room posting towards end of shift.
• Stock and maintain the bar and courtyard to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Cut, store and ensure product quality of beverage related perishables.
• Ensure bar area and courtyard are cleaned, sanitized, and empty trash receptacles and clears tables from dining and courtyards areas.
• Ensure the courtyard cushions are put away.
• Must be open to help housekeeping dept areas if necessary.
• Waiter experience preferred.
• Open to cross train in the front office department. (MUST)
• There is no such thing as, “That’s not my job.”

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room throughout shift and clear tables
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Food Handlers Card preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Self-Starter comfortable working alone yet good with working as a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• 1 year hotel experience within a luxury environment.
