Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender to join our hospitality team at the new Springhill Suites Madison Fitchburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, possess strong knowledge of beverage preparation, and thrive in fast-paced environments such as fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings. This role requires excellent time management skills, familiarity with POS systems such as Toast, and a solid understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. The Bartender will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.

Open Bar Hours: 5:00pm - 10:00pm | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday

Closed Days: Thursday & Sunday

Scheduled Shift: 4:00pm - 10:30pm | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Toast
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to enhance their experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions with accuracy
• Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner, promoting sales of beverages and specials
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying guest identification and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to coordinate food and beverage service
• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards related to food handling and beverage preparation
• Assist in setting up for special events or private parties as needed

Experience

• Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is essential
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
• Experience with food safety protocols and responsible alcohol service regulations
• Knowledge of beverage recipes, brewing processes, and retail math for accurate cash handling and sales transactions
• Background in food industry roles including food service, catering, or hospitality is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service standards

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
