Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive host/hostess services to ensure a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems, accommodating guest preferences and special requests
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for seamless transactions
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
• Assist with restaurant table management, ensuring optimal seating arrangements and timely turnover of tables
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and fostering guest relations
• Handle phone communications professionally, including reservation inquiries and general questions, following proper phone etiquette

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments preferred; strong customer service skills are essential
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Ability to operate POS systems confidently and accurately process transactions using cash or credit cards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the hospitality industry
• Experience in phone communication with guests or vendors is a plus; demonstrating good phone etiquette is important
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
