Bartender — Mexicana Grill & Cantina

Mexicana Grill & Cantina is looking for an energetic, friendly, and experienced Bartender to join our team in West Newton, MA.

We are a busy Mexican restaurant and cantina featuring Latin music, DJs, dancing, karaoke, and weekend nightlife. We’re looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service while keeping up in a fast-paced bar environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Take drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
• Process payments and handle cash/card transactions
• Check identification and follow Massachusetts alcohol-service regulations
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy shifts
• Work effectively with servers, kitchen staff, management, and other bartenders

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working busy Friday and Saturday nights
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol in Massachusetts
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of cocktails and Latin/restaurant nightlife is a plus

Schedule

Primarily Friday & Saturday evenings/nights.

Our weekend nights can be very busy, with Latin music, DJs, dancing, and karaoke, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys a high-energy environment.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay + tips

Exact compensation will be discussed based on experience and availability.
