Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and craft beers, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience and promote beverage sales
• Take accurate orders for food and drinks using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing cash and card transactions efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to the bar’s creative offerings to keep the menu fresh and exciting
• Manage bar inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed, and assist with ordering to ensure availability of popular items
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills by balancing multiple tables or bar stations while maintaining high-quality service

Experience

• Proven experience as a bartender or server in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, and craft beer trends
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle challenging situations professionally
• Experience in fine dining settings or catering environments is highly desirable
• Ability to develop beverage recipes creatively while adhering to safety standards and alcohol regulations
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash registers
• Previous experience working with food safety protocols and sanitation standards in food service or retail settings
