Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently as a Hostess or Host
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
• Clear tables by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
• Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, including basic meal assembly or garnishing
• Support kitchen staff with dishwashing, cleaning workstations, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Provide excellent in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries, handling complaints professionally, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Handle cash transactions accurately during order taking or cashiering duties
• Support beverage preparation including coffee making or barista tasks when required
• Assist with catering events or banquet setups to ensure smooth service during special occasions
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and service stations to uphold hygiene standards
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and guest needs

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and order accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or cleaning
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, serving, and order taking enhances your effectiveness in the role
• Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette if assisting via phone or reservations platforms like OpenTable
• Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge such as knife skills or meat cutting is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
