Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options while adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service.
• Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and beverage stations in compliance with food safety standards.
• Process cash transactions efficiently while handling cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Manage bar inventory levels by monitoring stock, restocking supplies, and assisting with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours such as nights or special events like banquets or catering functions.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
• Proven experience in food service environments with a focus on fine dining or hospitality industry standards.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
• Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS along with basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods and ensure prompt service.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and alcohol service regulations.
• Experience working in nightclubs, banquet halls, or catering settings is a plus for handling diverse service environments.
