Bartender - Steakhouse

AC's Steakhouse Pub in Hernando is currently looking for an experienced Bartender to join our family. This is a bartending position that will provide service to a 20 + seat bar, bar tables, and the service well for a 200 seat steakhouse. Qualified applicants must have bartending experience in a comparable (full service) restaurant, be able to build a regular clientele, demonstrate a passion for the food and beverage industry and have flexible available . This position requires wine and spirit knowledge, craft cocktail knowledge, craft beer knowledge, and traditional steakhouse food knowledge. The quality of life with this position is unlike most bartending positions. No late nights, no early mornings, no tip outs, credit card tips paid in cash nightly, and room for advancement. We have extremely high employee satisfaction and very low employee turnover.

Responsibilities and Duties

Full service Bartender / Food Server (Salesperson).

Knowledge of Steakhouse food offerings, wine, craft beers, and spirits including craft cocktails.

Prepare all beverages in accordance with established recipes.

Have extensive knowledge regarding wine, beer, and spirits and be able educate staff and customers.

Maintain a clean and organized bar in accordance with health department guidelines and established company standards.

Must be able and willing to build and establish a regular bar clientele.

All sidework duties.

All other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in fine dining preferred.
• Knowledge of Steakhouse food and beverage offerings.
• Ability to be a sales person.
• Ability to properly prepare all beverage items in accordance with established recipes and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to follow all established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Must understand full service steps of service and be able to properly execute.
• Ability to adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to work as a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Available to work restaurant hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. (We do our best to establish regular schedules to improve quality of work / life balance)
• Must be able to work in a hot, loud environment, stand for long periods of time, and lift 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to properly communicate with different personality types.
• Commitment and passion to only providing the best service possible.

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele.
• Prepare all beverages in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift.
• Follow all legal requirements regarding safe alcohol service in accordance with state regulations and company guidelines.
• Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
• Other duties as requested by management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
