Bartender with serving experience

Overview

We are looking for a bartender with serving experience for our Italian Restaurant in Mission Viejo. You are required to have serving experience, cocktail experience, and some wine knowledge. We are a family business and need reliable people who are personable, great with regulars and retaining customers.. sell specials, organized. We need team centered people who have nights available. The shifts are usually 430-830/9.. sometimes we will need someone earlier. Weekend availability as well. Thank you!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
• Answer phones if host is not available and take to go orders top.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and enhancing their overall experience.
• Manage POS systems such as Toast
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
• Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, process payments accurately, and balance registers at the end of shifts.
• Assist with food service when necessary, including serving food items or supporting banquet and catering events.
• Help with inventory

Skills

• Proven experience as a bartender with serving responsibilities in fine dining or hospitality settings.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, mixology techniques, and beverage recipe development.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts smoothly while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Experience working in food safety environments with proper handling of food and beverages.
• Familiarity with nightclub or banquet settings is a plus; ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.
