Bartender/Cashier

Duties

• Operate Micros POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all food prep areas
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and upselling popular options to enhance their experience
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, portioning items, and ensuring timely delivery of orders
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to balance cashier duties with food prep responsibilities while maintaining high service quality

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
• Strong cash handling skills coupled with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions and change calculation
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Food preparation experience or kitchen experience is a plus, demonstrating understanding of food handling procedures
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours and ensure smooth operations
• Enthusiasm for upselling menu items to enhance sales and guest satisfaction
