Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Engage with guests to take orders accurately, recommend drinks or menu items, and provide personalized service to enhance their experience.
• Manage cash transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing payments accurately while maintaining cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Develop creative beverage recipes and assist in menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting for guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service during busy periods, supporting overall restaurant operations.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service practices by checking IDs, monitoring guest consumption, and preventing over-serving.

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and craft beer options.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty and satisfaction.
• Previous experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
