Bartender / Server – Yacht Charters & Events

Chere Amie Yacht Charters hosts private charters, public cruises, and special events in San Diego Bay. We're looking for experienced, energetic Bartenders / Servers to join our team, primarily for weekend and holiday events.

If you enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment, preparing quality drinks, and providing excellent guest service, Chere Amie may be a great fit. Our events range from birthday celebrations and corporate gatherings to nightlife cruises and DJ-hosted yacht parties.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, operate, and break down the bar and service areas before, during, and after events.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and other beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Provide food and beverage service to guests and assist with serving, clearing, and other hospitality duties as needed.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and professional service while maintaining a positive guest experience.
• Engage with guests in a courteous, energetic, and welcoming manner.
• Operate the cash register, process credit/debit card transactions, and accurately manage customer tabs when necessary.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service areas throughout each event.
• Clean and properly maintain bar equipment, tools, glassware, and supplies.
• Follow all company policies and applicable health, safety, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Work closely with other bartenders, servers, crew members, and event staff to keep service running smoothly during high-volume events.
• Assist with general event setup, cleanup, and guest-service responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional bartending or relevant hospitality experience required; 1–3+ years preferred.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced bar, restaurant, nightclub, event venue, catering operation, or similar environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixed drinks, spirits, beer, and standard bartending techniques.
• Ability to prepare quality cocktails quickly and consistently during high-volume service.
• Comfortable performing both bartending and serving duties as needed.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional with strong customer-service skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized under pressure.
• Positive team player who is respectful toward guests, coworkers, and crew members.
• Ability to work efficiently and safely in the unique environment of a yacht or vessel.
• Flexible availability, particularly on weekends and holidays, with occasional weekday shifts.
