Required Availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — mornings and nights

About the Position

The Oak & Ivy Taphouse is looking for an experienced, personable, and dependable Bartender/Server to join our team. We need someone who can confidently handle a busy Friday or Saturday night while keeping drinks consistent, orders accurate, and guests well taken care of.

Hands-on bartending experience is required. You must be comfortable preparing drinks, managing multiple orders, and providing efficient service in a high-volume environment. Serving experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position.

Availability Requirements

• Must be available for morning and night shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Consistent weekend availability is required for this position.
• Additional shifts may be available to pick up throughout the week, but weekday availability does not replace the required weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive bar and table service.
• Prepare cocktails and serve beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Confidently manage a busy bar during peak Friday and Saturday night service.
• Balance drink preparation, guest service, and food orders while communicating clearly with the team.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
• Complete opening and closing duties and replenish supplies.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices and food safety and sanitation standards.
• Address guest concerns professionally and support teammates throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Proven bartending experience in a busy bar or restaurant, including high-volume evening service.
• Working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and standard bartending techniques.
• Ability to prioritize orders, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain drink quality.
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash accurately.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the required weekend availability.

Pay: $22.68 - $27.31 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
