Schedule: Weekend availability required, including Friday and Saturday evenings.

Job Description

Stack: Burgers & Bourbon is seeking an experienced, energetic, and personable Bartender / Server to join our team!

This is a dual-role position that requires providing exceptional service both behind the bar and on the dining room floor. Candidates must be comfortable preparing cocktails, serving bar guests, and managing their own section of dining tables during scheduled shifts.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment, has strong bartending and serving skills, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences.

Weekend availability is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Bartending

• Prepare and serve cocktails, bourbon, whiskey, beer, wine, and other beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Provide attentive, friendly service to guests seated at the bar.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bourbon, whiskey, classic cocktails, and drink recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Prepare beverages for dining room service while managing bar guests and other assigned responsibilities.
• Complete bar opening, closing, and side-work duties.

Table Service

• Manage assigned dining tables while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Greet guests, explain menu items, and provide food and beverage recommendations.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Anticipate guest needs, check on guest satisfaction, and resolve concerns appropriately.
• Upsell appetizers, specialty burgers, cocktails, bourbon, and desserts.
• Process payments accurately and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.

Teamwork & Operations

• Transition efficiently between bartending and table service based on business needs.
• Maintain service quality while handling multiple responsibilities during busy shifts.
• Assist with running food, resetting tables, and supporting teammates when needed.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices and restaurant policies.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and fellow team members.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending and restaurant serving experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, bourbon, whiskey, beer, and wine.
• Ability to manage a dining section while fulfilling bartending responsibilities.
• Excellent multitasking, time management, and communication skills.
• Strong sales skills and a guest-focused attitude.
• Experience with Toast POS preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Must be available to work weekends, including Friday and Saturday nights.
