Join our vibrant hospitality team here at RusTeak as a dynamic and energetic Bartender/Server! In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional beverage service, engaging interactions, and seamless food delivery. Your expertise in craft cocktails, wine, beer, and food presentation will elevate our guests’ experience while showcasing your skills in a fast-paced, lively environment. This position is set up to be a both a server in the main dining room of RusTeak, with bartending shifts in our speakeasy, The Broken Cage.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; process cash and card transactions efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Develop new beverage recipes and craft innovative cocktails to keep the menu fresh and exciting for returning guests.
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies promptly, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages during busy hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and coordinate catering or banquet services when needed.
• Handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining a lively yet professional atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bartending and serving within the hospitality industry, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; ability to process transactions accurately using retail math skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Food handling certification and knowledge of food safety standards are preferred.
• Experience in food industry roles such as catering or banquet service is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
• This is not an entry level position. Requirements of 2 years bartending experience required.

Pay: $23.04 - $27.74 per hour
