Bartender/Server

Bull Island Brewing Company is seeking a part-time Bar Tender/Server to deliver great guest experiences in a vibrant onsite environment in Hampton, VA.

Position Summary

You will provide friendly, efficient service to guests while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and supporting the smooth operation of the bar and dining experience. This role combines hospitality, attention to detail, and a commitment to responsible service.

As a Bar Tender/Server, you’ll take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure each guest interaction reflects the high standards of Bull Island Brewing Company.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders accurately, and deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously
• Prepare and serve drinks responsibly while following all applicable service and safety requirements
• Provide attentive table service, including check management and handling guest requests in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, including bar and service stations
• Collaborate with team members to support a positive guest experience during busy periods

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred (or demonstrated equivalent experience)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, service-oriented approach
• Ability to perform role-related tasks throughout a shift
• Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to consistent part-time availability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving food and beverages, including basic bar service knowledge
• Familiarity with responsible alcohol service practices and guest service standards
• Experience working evenings, weekends, and other peak service times
• Comfort handling payments and basic point-of-sale transactions

Compensation

Hourly rate: $13 minimum plus tips
