About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Bartendress to join our team at Y SPORT BAR PADANG-PADANG in Bali. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-energy hospitality environment. As a Bartendress, you will be the face of our bar, crafting premium beverages and delivering exceptional service to our diverse clientele. You will play a crucial role in creating an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, providing recommendations based on guest preferences and expertise
• Maintain exceptional standards of bar cleanliness, organisation and hygiene at all times
• Operate the cash register and manage bar transactions with accuracy and integrity
• Stock and rotate bar inventory, ensuring adequate supplies of spirits, mixers, garnishes and glassware
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Monitor guest behaviour and consumption, demonstrating responsibility and duty of care
• Follow all health and safety regulations and local licensing laws pertaining to alcohol service
• Work collaboratively with bar team members and wider hospitality staff to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain knowledge of current cocktail trends, house specials and promotions

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Bartendress, bar staff member or in a similar bar and beverage service role
• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques and classic and contemporary drinks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
• High standards of personal grooming and professional presentation
• Exceptional customer service orientation and commitment to guest satisfaction
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and relevant licensing regulations
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in bartending, mixology or hospitality service would be advantageous
• Experience working in Bali or other international hospitality settings is preferred
