Job Description

We are looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Bar & Waiting Staff to join our Food & Beverage team at Pastures Lodge & Hotel.

The role will involve working across our bar, restaurant, weddings, functions and events, providing a warm, efficient and professional service to all of our guests.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. We are looking for people with a positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Hours of Work:
Flexible hours available, predominantly evenings and weekends. Weekend availability is required due to weddings, functions and events.

Rate of Pay:
Minimum Wage

Key Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide a warm, friendly and welcoming service to all guests
• Serve drinks efficiently and confidently from the bar
• Take food and drink orders accurately and communicate these promptly to the kitchen and bar
• Serve food and beverages in the restaurant, bar and at functions and events
• Become familiar with our menus, drinks offering and current promotions
• Respond to guest requests and queries promptly and professionally
• Assist with setting up and clearing down the restaurant, bar and function rooms
• Prepare tables and event spaces for weddings, parties and other functions
• Process guest bills and payments accurately
• Ensure tables, bar areas and service areas are kept clean, tidy and well presented
• Assist with restocking the bar and other service areas throughout the shift
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and licensing procedures
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage, Kitchen and Events teams
• Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience

The Pub & Hotel

Pastures Lodge & Hotel is located in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, offering accommodation alongside food and beverage, weddings, functions and events.

Our team welcomes a wide variety of guests, from those staying at the hotel and dining with us to guests attending weddings, celebrations and private events. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team and help us deliver a friendly and memorable experience for every guest.
