They are seeking a Mandarin‑speaking BAS Assistant Manager or Manager to join the growing team in one of their Auckland offices.

The Opportunity

In this position, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio, working closely with senior leaders and providing high‑value support to both local, international and Mandarin‑speaking clients. You’ll be involved in a mix of compliance, advisory, and commercial work, with the scope to shape client relationships and influence outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review financial statements, tax returns, and group reporting for SMEs, investment entities, and high‑net‑worth clients
• Lead and support advisory assignments including budgeting, forecasting, IFRS‑aligned reporting, and commercial analysis
• Build strong, trusted relationships with Mandarin‑speaking clients and stakeholders
• Oversee workflow, support junior team members, and contribute to process improvement
• Work closely with Partners on complex engagements and cross‑border matters

What You’ll Bring

• 4-5+ years’ BAS experience within a New Zealand CA environment
• Strong technical capability across accounting and tax ( NZ IFRS experience would be a bonus)
• CA/CPA qualified
• Confident communicator in both Mandarin and English
• Enjoys client interaction, problem‑solving, and taking ownership of outcomes
